So today I did some more cutting of wood to create the frame. I found that cutting with the jigsaw to make the groove much easier. Then I hit it with the router afterwards. Also the notches so far on the uprights line up which will make it easier later on. Here are the pics:
This 7 of the 10 uprights. The second down is actually a G and has wood filler. I thought I needed 2 E's. Next is the side plates.
Cutting these out were pretty straight forward. The challenge was with the 1/2" groove in the center but they seem to have come out okay.

10 of 22 pieces. I can't wait to get the frame done.
